KidSmartz - Pilot

National Center for Missing & Exploited Children / Honeywell - NetSmartz Workshop

KidSmartz is a child safety program that educates families about preventing abduction and empowers kids in grades K-5 to practice safer behaviors. This pilot “No & Go!” was developed for KidSmartz, a newly acquired brand donated to NCMEC by Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad). Our team was tasked to develop new characters and situations that would best teach children to recognize danger and to report victimization to a trusted adult.

Responsibilities Included: Leading the animation team though all phases of production. Phases included storyboarding, layout, animation, editing, and delivery.

Software Used: Autodesk Maya, Autodesk MotionBuilder, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere

Production Extras:

Character Test: Sam

Each animation team member was individually responsible for fully developing (modeling, texturing, rigging, and animating) one of four main KidSmartz characters. I was responsible for creating Sam. This test was done to test performance of the character rig and explore personality with a temporary voice track.
